Yes we offer customisation down to days, accommodation, and activities outside of the Lake Hāwea Station hunting experience.
Depending on your accommodation preferences, we can provide experiences between the Lizard Hut and lodge stays. We offer a wide variety of on farm activities, or we are happy to connect you with the right people in our area for other experiences.

No experience is needed to join us and hunt here at Lake Hāwea Station. You will be guided through the whole process. It may be beneficial to have some understanding of the animals we are hunting so you can select the hunt that suits you best. If this is something you are unsure about, do not hesitate to reach out and we can form a plan.

You do not need a licence to hunt here in New Zealand and will not need a gun licence.

We hunt in the high country year-round, so mornings and evenings can be cold. In summer, temperatures range from 10 to 25 degrees, with wind chill potentially affecting comfort.
During the winter months, the temperature ranges between 2 and 16 degrees. It can dip well into the negatives so dress warm!
